ABOUT F1 IN SCHOOLS
F1 in Schools is the largest technological student competition in the world and one of the most completed educational programs for the boosting the interest of students for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM Education).
To participate, students create a team with distinctive roles (Constructor-Mechanic, Head of Marketing, Head of resource finding etc) after that, they begin their search of sponsors for the full coverage of their needs and their participation. Main goal of the students is to develop a Formula 1 car-like model in a scale of 1:18. The cars run on CO2 cartridges at speeds from 60 to 70 km/h. To succeed at their goal, students use tools such as CAD/CAM. For Greece, F1 in Schools happens every year firstly at Greece and shortly after abroad (World Finals).
